Part Chimp have long made it their mission to shake speakers, fry brains and push volume to its limits. Underground legends of primal riffing, their fifth album Drool sees them sharpen that intensity into something even more focused and ferocious.

Blending crushing heaviness with a skewed sense of melody, Drool channels echoes of Melvins and Sonic Youth while carving out a sound that’s wholly their own — pulverising, chaotic and strangely life-affirming. AAA Gripper emerged from the first Wrong Speed Records festival in Glastonbury in 2023. Built from long bass-and-drum improvisations and shaped into tense, wiry post-punk, the band quickly developed a reputation for explosive live shows and unpredictable songwriting. Featuring members connected to acts including Sweet Williams and Hey Colossus, AAA Gripper balance tightly wound grooves with jagged guitar work and a restless experimental streak.

Their debut album 'We Invented Work For The Common Good' dissects the absurdities of modern working life through frontman M. Edward Cole’s stream-of-consciousness lyrics, dark humour and anxious intensity. Channeling the rhythmic force of Fugazi and The Jesus Lizard, AAA Gripper have quickly become one of the UK underground’s most exciting new post-punk bands.
