Making their high-octane indie rock out of a box-sized studio in Berkshire, Rila’s Edge have quickly built a loyal cult fanbase, selling out headline shows and festivals across the UK. The mismatched group of childhood friends and college mates (Alfie Harris, Ollie Hedin, Jacob Green, George Maclean and Charlie Kennedy) are natural collaborators, and since their 2021 debut they’ve made their mark on the UK indie scene.
With two EPs under their belt, Rila’s Edge has created undeniable buzz, boasting plays on BBC Radio 1 and John Kennedy’s Radio X show. With their single ‘Pimlico Road’ received rave reviews in Clash Magazine, Music Crowns, and Fame Magazine – and it’s only up from here. While the five-piece have drawn comparisons to early 2000s arena indie rockers, their raw, earnest performances set them apart as ones to watch.
Rila’s Edge have cut their teeth playing high-energy retro indie shows, and their anthemic sound and erratic energy always inject undeniable momentum into their crowds. Not only have they held their own supporting Little Comets, Courting, and The Hubbards, but they continue to sell out headline shows. In 2024, they drew major crowds as headliners at Wokingham Festival.
In 2026, the band is delving into new sonic territory, blending fuzzy garage punk with melodic rock ‘n’ roll. Alongside their signature high-energy tracks, expect bigger shows, new sounds, and more passion for the scene that drives them.
