"Damsels are a grungy dark pop all-female five-piece from Bath/ Bristol. Newly formed, damsels are inspired by riot grrrl attitudes to challenge what it means to be feminine while simultaneously putting power in it.

Gazi’s gentle vocal is wrapped in thick harmony, distressed synths, and distorted guitars, with a lyricism that disguises melancholy with wit and humour in a way that nods to the style of Phoebe Bridgers. Their sound combines Wolf Alice’s intense wall of sound with PVRIS-like catchy hooks and references to musical aesthetics revolutionised by Blondie."
