Big Hammer is a queer 6-piece stoner/psych band from Bristol combining thunderous riffs with shape-shifting vocals and haunting synths.

Spearheaded by vocalist and voice artist Andrew Wheildon-Dennis, Big Hammer’s songs occupy a world of tender narratives against a backdrop of societal collapse. Lead guitarist Domi Wylde weaves her trademark banshee-scream guitar solos over Gavin Williamson-King’s tidal wave chords, all held up by Dominic Walliman’s dropped-down-a-mineshaft guitar riffs and Joe Blakeston (drums) and James Hallett’s (bass) circadian-ruining rhythm section.

Brenne Órfhlaith Morris, with her solo music project "brennejmusic", prides herself on her authenticity, storytelling, and capability to be really very silly. Her music reflects that, often very impulsive, doing whatever she wants whenever she wants to.

Operating under the genre of "Keyboard-Oriented Progressive Metal", Brenne's music "pushes all the thoughts out and replaces them with time signature changes and songs that just get going when you think they're about to end", as well as lots of synth solos for good measure.

Her live performances - when she can get some - are as energetic as they can be when the sole performer has asthma and the keytar's made of tape.

Amateur Panda

Amateur Panda is the brainchild of former Static Signals frontwoman Emma Ffion Davies, and is a blend of post-grunge, post-hardcore, and prog influences (think Foo Fighters meets Fightstar, with some Porcupine Tree thrown in for good measure). Currently in its early acoustic phase of existence, it features Emma on acoustic guitar + lead vocals with Billie Bacon (of Disconap) joining recently on bass - we have plans to flesh out the band as an all-transfemme outfit in the coming year, so watch this space!
