NOVA PROMOTIONS PRESENTS

Horsefair
Horsefair are a post-rock and art-punk six piece honing sharp turns and towering swells of noise down to a science. Anchored by the haunting alto timbre of lead vocalist & saxophonist Kate Francis, Horsefair channels the unnerving power of PJ Harvey, the hypnotic chamber rock of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and the post-rock edge of Mogwai. In a single breath, the band can whip a crowd into a frenzy and then subdue them into hushed, cathedral-like stillness.
Kate Francis - vocals, saxophone
James Allen - guitar
Ethan Munden - drums
Louis Boon - bass
Lewis Spampinato - violin, guitar
Giannas Nikodimons – electronics

Paper Crowns
Newly Bristol-based, 6-piece Paper Crowns are a high-octane fusion of jazz and post-punk. Blending bold brass, intricate rhythms and boundless energy they take performance to a new level. A welcome assault of heart-racing feedback, trance inducing loops, primal unhinged grooves and a raging attitude. Bringing a dynamic sound that sways between angst and romantic poeticism they are building a reputation for their explosive and dynamic live performances.

HumDrum
HumDrum are a 5-piece band crafting an evolving fusion of neo-jazz, experimental rock, and poetic surrealism. Their music weaves through different genres which can make categorisation challenging — however there’s always vulnerability and volatility, polished chaos and deliberate imperfection.
HumDrum’s early work embraced jazz-informed improvisation and melodic abstraction, but their new material marks a bolder step into textured experimentation. Taking inspiration from the likes of Bjork, Portishead, Duster, Stereolab and Youth Lagoon, the band will be showcasing their upcoming five-track EP. Their dreamy delicate harmonies that collide with distorted crescendos and introspective lyrics channel through warped electronics. At its heart, HumDrum is about emotional honesty and the beauty of imbalance. Their music explores the contradictions of being human — fragile yet defiant, surreal yet grounded. Each performance unfolds like a living sculpture, evolving in real time as the band deconstructs and rebuilds its own sound.

Please note the basement is not wheelchair accessible and is accessed by a narrow enclosed staircase. For more accessibility info, please email [email protected]
