Slum Village W/j Dilla Exhibit at The Exchange
£12

A gig held at Exchange on Tuesday 30th September. The event starts at 20:00.

After a 6 month absence Rhyme and Reason return with one of the worlds most influential hip-hop groups. Hailing from Detroit Michigan, and touring their release'Vintage' which contains production from J Dilla and Black Milk, we are delighted to welcome SLUM VILLAGE to Bristol. Their latest project will contain production by J Dilla and Young RJ, titled'YES' is scheduled to be released September 2014.

The group consisted of T3, Baatin and J Dilla and rose to hip hop super-sttardom following the release of classic albums such as Fantastic I and II and Trinity. Following the passing of J Dilla in 2006, His brother Illa J, has taken on the DJ'ing and some of the Production for the group.

The J Dilla exhibit will include never before seen pictures from the'Lost Scrolls', including items from Jay Dees' personal belongings, memoirs from his diary and his Drum Machine. Narration from the group will give an in-depth description and history behind each of the pictures displayed, with Young RJ making beats on Dillas actual drum machine, explaining what classic songs were made with the now famous SP1200.

This show is bought to you by Rhyme and Reason and Sip the Juice. Support comes from their resident DJ's.

Tickets start at £12 and are now available..
