A
clubnight
on Saturday 2nd December. The event starts at 19:00.
My friend Hector has an excellent collection of jazz, but unfortunately his housemate is allergic to it, it makes her itch, meaning that it's not always possible to play it on the hi-spec deck and speakers he has in the living room. In order to provide a safe environment for listening to pre-recorded jazz music, we have started the Bristol Jazz Club, which we hope will become a monthly night of jazz appreciation. The first event will be at the FaithSpace Community Centre in Redcliffe, and although the church is deconsecrated, meaning you are free to worship Bill Evans' block chords without blaspheming, the building is unlicensed for the consumption of alcohol, so a selection of Pukka teas and cafetiere coffee will be on sale cheaply all night. Free entry, 18+
