Come join us this Halloween as Worm Disco Club host one of our favourite bands of recent years - The Mauskovic Dance Band!
The Mauskovic signature sound combines elements of Cumbia, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, & "Space Disco" in equal measure to create a unique, hypnotic sound. Their recent self titled album released on the mighty Soundway Records was entirely self-produced, with the band reiterating their favourite elements of the 70s and 80s legacy of the Afro-Latin psychedelic music of Colombia and Peru, interpreting it through the context of modern day Amsterdam. The output is lo-fi, No Wave tropical dance groooves.
We first discovered the Mauskovic boys back in 2017 after catching their homemade video for their debut single "Analog Fruit" which was filmed with the band crammed inside a boat in Amsterdam. It was then that we instantly knew we had to get them to come and play at Worm Disco Club!!
Support comes in the form of a new project assembled for the fist time for this event - BaDaBoom (furious Bongos'). Forged from the Jazz Cauldron of Snazzback..."Carnival beats with the heat of the street. Snake charming melodies and the golden promise of more cowbell, prepare to perform the hot shoe shuffle to heaven to the sound of "Hells bells"....featuring members from Bristol local legends, Snazzback, and two of our very own worms, Jake and Jackson.
