A event on Monday 10th July. The event starts at 10:00.

While there have been huge efforts to improve accessibility and inclusion in the art world there is still a long way to go in terms of ensuring equal access for all people. It is important for art institutions and individuals to recognise the barriers that exist and actively work to remove them, in order to create a more inclusive and diverse art world that values the contributions and perspectives of all people, regardless of ability, background, ethnicity, or age.

With Modern Myths, the Expressions Arts Collective asks: Who decides what is great art? Do you need to be from a privileged background and to have an art education to be a revered artist? Who dictates what makes valid art?

The exhibition, curated by Louise Copping with help from Emma Grant, consists of over 100 artworks created by members of the Expressions Arts Collective, in a variety of mediums including printmaking, sculpture, photography, moving image, and painting.
