Dance has taken on all kinds of flavours over the years and a lot of the dance we enjoy today has developed one way or another from dance styles in the past.

In this day one of our summer dance intensive we will have a go at all kinds of dance through the ages. Before putting it all together into a mini show reel that those who would like to can show parents/guardians/loved ones at the end of the day.

Aimed at ages 7-12 years old.

Dance through the ages:

10:00am – traditional African with Kenzi Irelandi

10:45 - timeline

11:00 (break)

11:15 - European court dance

11:45 - Charleston (think Bugsy Malone)

12:15 - (lunch)

1:15 - Contemporary (think Alvin Ailey Revelations)

14:15-15:00 Afrobeats with Kenzi Ireland

15:00 - (break)

15:15 - open session/medley practice

15:45 - show parents the medley (those who want to)
