What's On Friday 27th April — in Bristol

A complete list of live music and nightlife for Friday 27th April.

From today's events

“Everywhere we look we see the master at work, which makes it even more exciting for us to host him for his long awaited return to Bristol, playing an extended set as part of the Perpetual series on Friday 27th April.”
Eminent x CPU w/ CPSmith, Daddy Long Leg tickets
As electro continues its unstoppable resurgence, Sheffield’s Central Processing Unit has solidified its reputation as the UK’s most prolific and consistent purveyor of chattering 808’s. CPSmith has since 2012 curated an enviable portfolio of spacey futurism and dancefloor weapons, and taking over everybody’s favourite basement alongside Daddy Long Legs – a man who combines sleazed-out b-boy flavours with retrospective, atmospheric synth-pop to become the golden boy for CPU. Support comes from Eminent’s very own rising star Zobol to round off a line-up of contemporary hard hitters of an unmatchable sound. Tickets: hdfst.uk/E44043 Listen: bit.ly/2qrUNoO
Loose Lips x TRUK in Bristol tickets
FRIDAY: TRUK X LOOSE LIPS TRUK and Loose Lips return to The Island to host two Bristol debuts for a night of unapologetic, high-energy, percussive bedlam. J. Tijn has spent the past five years establishing himself as one of UK techno’s heavyweights and most in-demand exports. His productions bridge the gap between Perc and Truss’ industrial techno and Livity Sound’s jagged, post-dubstep inspired sound. FLmm meanwhile has been busy playing mechanised future-shock techno across the continent, sharing bills with hard-hitters such as Ansome and Manni Dee. Tickets: hdfst.uk/E44967
IGH: RUN LOGAN RUN ALBUM LAUNCH tickets
Young Bristol-based duo Run Logan Run deliver their debut album ‘The Delicate Balance of Terror’ at The Cube Microplex this Friday. Produced by members of The Comet is Coming, expect a barrage of freeform tri-ballastic percussion colliding with cyclical, trance-inducing sax skronk. Crucial listening for fans of contemporary jazz such as Colin Stetson, Melt Yourself Down & Sons of Kemet etc.
