“Set in the historic and much loved Jacobs Wells Baths - the former Bristol Dance Centre - this exhibition is an opportunity to view and participate in a range of art forms, and a last chance to enjoy the incredible building before it undergoes drastic changes next year.”

“Shallow Roots are a Bristol based six-piece band playing music influenced by Spain, Africa and Central America. The combination of soprano and tenor saxes with two guitars, vocals and percussion makes a music which is intimate and gentle yet also rhythmic and quite danceable. Band members are Rob Vasey (guitar, vocals), Jonathan Hyams (guitar, vocals), Romilly Gibbs (soprano sax), Jamie Darwen (tenor and soprano saxes), Kostka Garcia (bass) and Julie Beckett (percussion and backing vocals).”

“Swordfish Trombone are an unbelievable Tom Waits cover band made of Bristol's absolute best. This may well be the first ever cover band at the Leftbank but there is no one better to take that virginity. With Katya Gorrie from Moscow Drug Club fronting the band delivering Tom's truly unique lyrics. Supporting her is a perfect combination of Bristol's musical A-team.”

“Gem Andrews writes Americana and folk music with an honesty and rawness that cuts to the quick. Andrews' superb songs are backed by lush harmonies, sweet fiddle, piano and accordion, and supported by a double bass and drums rhythm section. Deeply rooted in contemporary alt-country, her sound makes respectful nods to the giants of roots and country music, Patsy Cline, Lucinda Williams and Kate & Anna McGarrigle, all the while maintaining her own fiercely independent spirit.”
