Tony Kofi is one of the most highly-rated saxophonists and flautists in the UK. Since first coming to prominence with the Jazz Warriors and Jazz Jamaica, Tony has played with Ornette Coleman, US3, The World Saxophone Quartet, Courtney Pine, Donald Byrd, Eddie Henderson, Abdullah Ibrahim, Macy Gray, Julian Joseph Big Band, Harry Connick Jr, Byron Wallen's Indigo and Jamaaladeen Tacuma's Coltrane Configurations. Tony’s latest project sees him performing with Alex Webb’s Café Society Swing, Arnie Somogyi’s Jump Monk, a double leaders project with Alan Barnes called Aggregation, Orphy Robinson’s Bobby Hutcherson songbook project, the Alina Bzhezhinska Quartet, Jo Harrop’s Fever, Portrait of Cannonball (music dedicated to Cannonball Adderley) and Tony Kofi and the Organisation, a recent project which he co leads on the baritone saxophone.
Peter Jones is a dynamic and highly entertaining jazz singer who performs throughout London and the south of England. His three albums to date have received excellent reviews, with tracks played on Jazz London Radio, Jazz FM, Worldwide FM and several other stations in the UK and overseas. London Jazz News said of his 2017 album Under the Setting Sun: ‘The level of creativity and skill on offer makes this a valuable and important collection for anyone remotely interested in contemporary jazz singing and songwriting.’ He has played and/or recorded with Roger Beaujolais, Alex Hutton, Mornington Lockett, Henry Lowther, Rob Luft, Nigel Price, Ross Stanley and Vasilis Xenopoulos, and many other tope UK jazz musicians, as well as the Remix Jazz Orchestra and the Somethin’ Else Big Band. He has just recorded a new album of original tunes with an all-star 8-piece band.
