Paolo Adamo quintet present" Monk's Dream" Tribute to Thelonious Monk.

Paolo Adamo is the youngest and the newest hot spot of the Bristol's music scene of the last couple of years. Known for collaborating mainly with the popular Afro-bit band"Mankala", and for playing with some of the Bristol's premier jazz musicians.

Along with Nicholas Malcom on trumpet, Nicholas Dover on tenor sax, George Cooper on piano and Pasquale Votino on bass, this fantastic line up will lie down a set of the most beautiful Monk's compositions.

Paolo Adamo was born in Gubbio (Umbria, Italy) in the March 19th 1992. At the age of 3 left his born city, and went to live with his family in a little village called Mirabello Sannitico (Molise, Italy) where he passed the rest of his youth. Both of his parents are Italian and he has got a younger brother, also percussionist.

Early in childhood showed his interest on the music and his talent and passion for the drums. Got his first drum at 5 years old, he has began to play by himself, growing up and learning behind the grooves of Phil Collins's music, one of his favorite drummers. At the age of 10 he began to study the jazz music in a school, which makes him closer to a more classic style. Received a lot of awards from his teachers, for his talent and his ability to learn very quickly. Since the age of 14 he started soon to be part of musical projects, doing various gigs all around the country, and playing in Jazz Festival in Europe, like the JazzPuzzle in Belgium, where he participated for 6 consecutive years. Growing up, improved his style and making it more personal, get closer to modern drummers like Steve Smith, Vinnie Colajuta, Mark Guiliana, experimenting new thing. He was considered one of the best young drummer in his city. At 19 years old, once graduated, left the jazz school, continuing to study by himself. The March 15th 2012 he moved in Bristol, where he's actually involved in many musical projects like Arketta, The Veneer, Arta Arden, Whatflag, Ibou Tall & Jazz Mates.
