Celebrating Terry Pratchett with Marc Burrows

Bristol author and comedian Marc Burrows celebrates both the launch of his latest book, A Reader’s Guide To Terry Pratchett Volume One, and the lavish new official Discworld Bestiary with an afternoon dedicated to the great man, including a guide to Sir Terry’s Bristol connections, local comedians doing live readings of their favourite Discworld books and a special guest from the world of Sir Terry interviewed live onstage. 

Marc Burrows is the author of the 2020 book The Magic of Terry Pratchett, the first biography of Terry, which went on to win the Locus Award for non-fiction in 2021. He turned the book into a touring stand up comedy show, a smash hit at the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe with rave reviews. The show has now sold more than 15,000 tickets,including selling out the prestigious Duchess Theatre in London’s West End in 2025. Having told Sir Terry's life story, his latest book, A Reader’s Guide, is a deep dive into the complete works of one of the most successful and beloved British authors of all time.
