See event details

A event on Tuesday 25th March. The event starts at 19:00.

The Elephant In The Womb Live Experience is a gig with a difference: Joanie Bones's powerful songs, audience singalongs and simple reflective activities are joyfully crafted into a healing experience that is both accessible & transformational around issues that women tend not to speak about.

It's a shared journey into the hidden yet universal stories of women’s endurance- through taboo, isolation & shame into a shared experience of positivity, connection & growth.

All genders are welcome - after all, we heal this stuff together.

Joanie Bones brings her unique mix of vocal looping and enaging presence to invite the audience on a healing journey, skillfully & safely guiding the audience through themes devastatingly familiar to any woman: themes such as negative body image; sexual violence; pregnancy; miscarriage; abortion; baby loss; not having children; ageing - all of which are linked by the shadows of shame & isolation.
Together transforming the grief and shame of historic isolation into connection, redemption and celebration.

TENDERNESS WARNING
The show was developed in conjunction with survivors of various traumatic experiences, and aims to be a positive experience for everyone. However, by its nature the show refers to various difficult experiences which may be distressing for some.
