A event on Saturday 13th June. The event starts at 13:00.
Join us for a gentle, grounding day retreat in nature created especially for LGBTQ+ folks - particularly centred on providing an accessible yoga practice for disabled, neurodivergent and chronically ill folk. This retreat offers a slow, accessible approach to embodied movement and rest, with practices designed to meet you exactly where you are.
Across the day we’ll explore:
Seated and Chair Yoga with different options and choice to opt in/out
Mindful Breathing to soothe and regulate the nervous system
Meditation for quiet connection with the natural world and yourself
Option for Mindful Writing
Tea and Snacks shared in community
Everything is offered with options, props, and guidance. You’re welcome to participate in whatever way feels right — moving, resting, observing, or simply being held by the outdoors. No experience needed. If you feel that this retreat is for you, then it is!
A nature connection and LGBTQ- centred space to reconnect with
Accessibility
Grow Wilder has a limited number of disabled parking bays, wheelchair access to venue, and accessible toilets. Please see venue website for more info: www.growwilder.co.uk
I can provide photos of the venue on request. Please do get in touch.
This session will be seated throughout - with options to lay on the floor for sections or remain in a chair or wheelchair. It is outside and I cannot guarantee that it might not be too warm or cold although layers are recommended. The venue is the Pondside canvas which means it is covered and shaded.
Please get in contact to discuss suitability if you have any questions.
Carers very welcome. If you are booking for a carer who will also participate, please book two full tickets. If they aren't participating, please book non-participating (so I understand numbers and support). If you need a specific arrangement, please email [email protected]
Due to budget, I am unable to provide interpreters. However, please get in contact to discuss how I may be able to support you during the retreat - [email protected]
