Thrive Through Menopause

Thrive Through Menopause at Ham Green House

An event on Sunday 18th October. The event starts at 12:00.

Menopause isn't a problem to be solved in a ten-minute appointment. It touches sleep, work, mood, strength and confidence, and most of us are handed very little to go on. This day brings the people who can help into one room: practitioners, therapists, teachers and local businesses, alongside talks from people who work with menopause every day.

Come for an hour or stay for the whole afternoon. Browse the stands, sit in on a talk, try a gentle yoga session, book a taster treatment - or simply sit down with a cup of tea and talk to someone who understands.

You’re Not Alone: A New Menopause & Healing Fair Comes to Pill This October

Sunday 18 October 2026 | 12–5pm | Penny Brohn Centre, Ham Green House, Pill

Menopause can leave women feeling frightened, overwhelmed and unsure where to turn. A new local event, Thrive Through Menopause – Bristol Menopause & Healing Fair, is bringing women together for an afternoon of connection, honest conversations, expert knowledge and gentle wellbeing support.

Taking place at the Penny Brohn Centre in Pill on Sunday 18 October, the event has been created to offer women something that is often missing when navigating menopause: a safe, welcoming space where they can ask questions, discover support and know they are not alone.

The fair has been created by Bristol community organiser Butzi Schlaadt, inspired by her own experience of menopause and the feeling of being scared and overwhelmed without knowing what was happening or where to begin.

“I remember feeling frightened and completely overwhelmed by menopause. I didn’t know what was happening to me or where to turn. What helped me was finding other women and having conversations where I felt heard and understood. I wanted to create that feeling for other women – a day where you can come exactly as you are, learn something new, meet people who understand and leave feeling a little lighter.”

An afternoon of inspiring voices, practical support and connection

The event will bring together an inspiring group of health, menopause and wellbeing practitioners, including guest speakers Elizabeth Thompson, Pauline Cox, Anastasia Griffith and Caroline Gaskin.

Alongside expert talks and conversations, visitors can experience:

* Expert talks and honest conversations around menopause, health and wellbeing

* Practical workshops with tools women can take away and use in everyday life

* Yoga, meditation, Qigong and other wellbeing sessions

* Local therapists and wellness practitioners

* Wellbeing stands offering information, support and opportunities to connect

* Nutrition and lifestyle guidance

* A chance to meet other women, ask questions and share experiences

The event is supported by the National Centre for Integrative Medicine (NCIM) and brings together local practitioners and organisations who believe menopause support should look at the whole woman – mind, body and emotional wellbeing.

More than a menopause event – a community

Thrive Through Menopause is about creating a space where women feel seen, heard and supported.

For some, it may be their first opportunity to openly ask questions about symptoms they have been struggling with. For others, it may be a chance to discover new approaches, meet local practitioners or simply spend an afternoon surrounded by women who understand.

Whether you are just beginning your menopause journey, have been navigating it for years, or simply want to understand more, you are welcome.

Free gift for first 60 guests through the door.
