Cecilia Ndlovu-Edwards performs with her band Bulawayo as part of The Budiriro Trust Summer Fundraiser. Cecilia is a captivating & dynamic performer and her gigs are joyous and ecstaic experiences to cherish!

Then the party kicks off around 8.30pm with two luscious 45min live sets full of musical magic from Bulawayo, led by Cecilia Ndlovu-Edwards sharing her energy and vibrancy for your pleasure.
About Cecilia
Cecilia was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She was born a talented musician taking after her dad who was a well known Saxophone player in Bulawayo. At 16 she started performing and running cultural exchange workshops with a number of performing arts groups around the country.
Later she joined the famous Oliver Mtukudzi band as a backing vocalist and toured the World including North America & Canada Playing at various famous venues and festivals. In 2000 Cecilia moved to the UK where she continued to sing & dance with several bands and running workshops in schools round the whole country of UK.
She has also taught and performed her Zimbabwean songs at several festivals including Womad, Tribe of Doris, Camp Bestival and Shambala.
Budiriro Trust
All profits from the evening will go to support the Budiriro Trust and their valuable work in delivering sixth form scholarships to underprivileged Zimbabwean students.
