CoResist and Coexist Community Kitchen present:
The Wild Beltane Ball
3rd May 2018
Events Space, Hamilton House
In the glade of a wood a story unfolds! It will be sung, it will sparkle and it will be soul-tinglingly delicious. A banquet of wild & ancient foods - serenaded to your table with immersive theatre, storytelling, song & poetry.
In the hustle and bustle of modern life, many people have become disconnected from their food. The Wild Beltane Ball offers guests the opportunity to become reacquainted with where our food comes from - CoResist Collective have put together a delectable array of performance & theatre, with stories celebrating the arrival of summer, music that sings of the madness of May and poetry that speaks the beauty of Beltane. Performed by Daniel Balla (Slung Lo, Beyond The Border), Deborah Antoinette Ward (Rich Mix, Camden People’s Theatre, The Wardrobe) and Ailsa Mair Hughes (Royal Shakespeare Company)
The Coexist Community Kitchen have been busy creating a menu to awaken the senses & delight the tastebuds. With as many ingredients ethically, locally and sustainable sourced as possible, the Wild Beltane Ball has given the chefs Ari Cantwell & Claudia Poligioni (who brought Bristol the Ottolenghi collaboration last Spring) a chance to delve into the undergrowth and pick the freshest, most seasonal produce available!
Catering for vegetarians, vegans and meat-eaters alike the full menu will be revealed on 11th April... one month before the feasting begins.
The ticket includes a welcome drink, a sharing 3 course meal woven with delightful performance, followed by live ceilidh music and dancing until midnight.
Early Bird tickets are limited to 25 so make sure you get yours quick!
Come with us into the wild woods!
