Hands off Venezuela - Public Meeting at Hamilton House
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Free entry / PWYC! US-led resource grabs are as old as The Star-Spangled Banner, but the total brazenness of the Maduro abduction feels like a 21st century high-water mark. Bristol Stop the War and Venezuela Solidarity Campaign convene to wade thorough the sociopolitical shockwaves being felt across Latin America, Greenland, Palestine and beyond."

Join Bristol Stop The War and Venezuela Solidarity Campaign for this public meeting where we will be discussing the illegal US military invasion in Venezuela and the kidnap of President Nicolás Maduro and his Wife, a flagrant breach of international law which saw over 100 people killed in the process.

We will also discuss the wider implications of Trumps drive for dominance in the Western Hemisphere, with imperial threats made against Cuba, Colombia, Mexico and Greenland as well as dangerous rhetoric towards intervention in Iran and how all this connects to the ongoing genocide being carried out in Palestine.

With Europes increasing military spending and rearmament programs and the weakness of leaders to stand up to Trump and uphold international law, it’s never been more vital to build the anti-war and anti-imperialist movement as it will be all our lives, globally, that will be effected.

We start by holding our own Government to account.

Speakers include..

Shabbir Lakha - Stop The War
Ben Liao - Venezuela Solidarity Campaign
Dore Delgado Yanez - Venezuelan Comrade
Owen Chambers - Bristol Apartheid Free Zone
