La Madrastra use the Andes mountain range as the spinal cord for their unique Latin sound, mixing instruments and rhythms gathered from all latitudes of the American continent. Cumbia, bolero and Andean folk music are part of the band's repertoire, bringing the perfect mix of flavour and raw emotion to any dance floor. Formed in Bristol, the band have been playing since late 2015.
