The Twelve Hour Foundation at The Hare On The Hill

A gig held at The Hare on the Hill on Sunday 11th August. The event starts at 17:30.

The Twelve Hour Foundation will play a free warm-up gig in preparation for their slot at The Delaware Road Festival the following week.

Comprising Polly Hulse and Jez Butler, the Bristol-based duo evokes distant, half-remembered experiences and objects. The majority of tracks are built using a pair of 40-year-old synthesisers, mixed with treated field recordings and sounds created from samples of household objects: plastic tubing, bottles, corks, a wire draining rack, electrical appliances and the human body.

Their 2018 album - tree little mile egg book and other non sequiturs, released by Castles in Space has been described by Jim Jupp (Ghost Box Records) as :

"...a sparklingly produced, fresh distillation of the spirit and bright breezy feel of classic British library electronics and BBC recordings."

DJ Records will open proceedings and round off the evening with a mix of library tracks and a selection from his legendary World of Cheese sets of the '90s.
