All skill levels welcomed and encouraged. We will explore the power of motion in a relaxed and supportive environment. Workshops will be held at HOURS gallery, Bristol.

Dancers:
Doga Uluclar is a Dance artist from Cyprus. Her movement language displays versatility. She is passionate about performing and improving her skills further giving particular focus on improvised dances. From a young age dance has played a major role in her life. Beginning with latin dance and street dance styles, she was inspired to grow further and study abroad. She trained for four years as a professional and commercial dancer at Shockout Arts, UK. Here she refined her skills and expanded into new forms; jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, commercial. After which she completed her MA in Dance studies at Bath Spa University, where she explored multiple artistic and creative projects both independently and collaboratively.
Divija Melally is a trained contemporary and Indian classical dancer, dedicated to the arts, and spreading the intricate nuances of dance through performance, teaching, choreography and therapy. She has trained professionally in India and the UK, and is influenced by the different forms of movement at the core of her practice. Her creative practice revolves around exploring the amalgamation of contemporary and Indian Classical dance. She is interested in taking inspiration from the different nuances of Bharatanatyam like the postures, hand gestures and rhythmic intonations, and infusing it in her contemporary training to find new movement vocabularies. She is interested in creating works that explore social and political themes, and she hopes to help the audience be more aware of the world that they live in through her art.
Maria Martinez's practice is a reflection of her unique journey. Starting to dance at 18, her background in music and passion for visual arts influence her style. Unlike traditional training, Maria's practice focuses on her body's feelings and cues rather than conforming to set techniques. It's an intuitive and authentic approach, allowing her to explore movement with freedom and self-awareness. She connects deeply with her body, using it as an instrument to express rhythm and flow - a reflection of her inner world - a captivating journey of self-discovery.
