on Thursday 2nd May. The event starts at 20:00.
This week, it's a Megabill―a special night full of headliners! A celestial alignment of gig diaries and travel means there will be way too many big names in a way-too-tiny room. But that's great news for you, as this will be an intimate night of comedy you won't soon forget!
This week features sets from Laura Lexx, Adam Hess and Chris Betts!
Laura Lexx had a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe this year, where she won the coveted Comedian's Choice award for Best Performer. She's smashed it on Live at the Apollo, and now she's coming to your favourite local pub.
Adam Hess
Fast-paced jokes, cheeky confessions, and adolescent reminiscing from this fantastically imaginative comedy whirlwind and Fosters Edinburgh Festival Best Newcomer nominee.
★★★★ 'Beautiful quips... you might miss a joke because you are sniggering so hard, but never fear, another four will come along soon' EVENING STANDARD
★★★★ 'Exceptional gag-writing talent and charismatically nervy stage presence... a potentially outstanding comic' THE SCOTSMAN
'I've seen few shows that are funnier' THE TIMES
As seen on TONIGHT AT THE PALLADIUM, LIVE FROM THE BBC, and COUNT ARTHUR STRONG.
But wait. There's more!
We also have Chris Betts, the prolific and wildly imaginative whiz-bang from Savage Canadia. Chris is a Lazy Dog fave, having headlined and done his interactive show, Chris Betts vs. The Audience there previously. Now he's back with gems he's been polishing and is ready to show off.
Plus, even more! There are a couple more acts we're not even at liberty to disclose here. We'll try to ensure we stick with the double-letter-surname theme, but we can't promise it. This show will be a bit longer than most, but should still have you out by 10:30pm latest.
And, this will be the last one for a while hosted by your resident Cranky Yankee, Tony Chiotti (He's been called back to the US to sort things out for them, but will return in the fall, or autumn, or whatever he calls it).
Show is upstairs, 18+.
Lineup subject to change without notice, but a great show is assured.
Tickets are £8 this week, just cause we have to pay these lovelies what they're worth.
