This week at your comedy local, it's the incredible Russell Hicks!
You know the drill by now. Great comedians, a weird creaky attic, and a ticket price that suggests they don’t really know how money works. It’s not a traditional formula for success but it seems to work.
They love conventional stand-up comedy as much as the next cartoon drawing of a dog, but sometimes these folks like to bring you something a bit different. Variety is the spice of life and spice is the spice of food, which is why they've booked the deliciously weird Russell Hicks as your next main course. He might sound like a Frankenstein combination of two of the world’s most famous comedians, but this Russell has no good news for you and this Hicks will take you on a very different ride.
Russell Hicks is comedy’s one-man beat movement. Part comedian, part Californian surfer dude philosopher. The kind of man who would be barefoot at a house party. Nothing written, nothing rehearsed, just a voyage into the unknown with an unhinged sea captain and a boatload of improvisational chops.
