on Thursday 6th February. The event starts at 20:00.
February is a weird one. It’s got a silent r, occasional secret bonus days, and it’s so short that it’s barely a month. Christmas was ages ago and spring seems like an impossible dream. Normally we’d be happy to skip it altogether, but we’ve found a way to make February worthwhile; world-class comedy in your favourite canine-themed drinking hole.
This week we’ve got a special treat for you in the form of Kelly Convey. Kelly is right on the cusp of superstardom. That magical time in a comedian’s career when they are destroying rooms and racking up TV credits but are still (just) within our price range. One day you’ll be able to point at a TV and say “I saw her in Bristol in 2020”. Nobody will know what you’re talking about because TV will be all implants and holograms by then, but you’ll still get to feel secretly smug.
Kelly is building an army of loyal fans with her frank take on modern womanhood. She is a comedian unafraid to tell the truth, the whole truth, and a load of brilliant jokes based on the truth. Her 2019 show Telephone Voice was a smash-hit that tackled British class obsession with charm and insight. This one is sure to sell out faster than you can say “Where did all the tickets go?” so book now!
Let’s make February legendruary.
