We, The Slimline Shufflers, finally have an album of songs for your delectation!
Having gigged solidly with a settled lineup since 2018, we decided it was about time to record a collection of our favourite old songs from our live sets of the past 9+ years. Although the plan initially was to record an EP-length promo, the session went so well that we managed to put down 14 whole songs in a couple of hours!
Each song was recorded live in Matt Cherry's "Cherry Shed" studio in one or two takes, no overdubs. Our very own Adam Newton (dbl-bass) mixed the recordings, and they were mastered for both the digital & vinyl versions by tape maestro Mark "Drezz" Dressler.
We hope you'll join us at The Ill Repute (Old Market, Bristol), on 16th December, to celebrate the launch of this debut record of ours!
We'll be playing a couple of live sets (featuring a few special guests), and Eric & Adam will be spinning some rhythm`n`blues, soul & New Orleans funk vinyl 'til late!
