A
event
held at The Ill Repute
on Sunday 18th January. The event starts at 19:00.
A brand new film club riding into town and we’re kicking things off the only way we know how… with a stone-cold Western classic.
On Sunday 18th January, join us downstairs at The Ill Repute for the very first screening from A Fistful of Film, a new club dedicated to big-screen gems, western favourites, and cinema that demands to be watched with an audience.
Our opening film is Winchester ’73 (1950) and is a lean, razor-sharp Western from Anthony Mann, starring James Stewart in one of his most intense and morally complex performances. What begins as a rifle changing hands becomes a ruthless journey through obsession, revenge and the dark heart of the American frontier. Gritty, psychological and beautifully shot, this is a Western that rewrites the rules and still packs a punch decades later.
+ Location: Downstairs at The Ill Repute
+ Date: Sunday 18th January
+ Film starts: 7:00pm sharp
