On Sunday 19th April, SOMETHING OF THE NIGHT drifts into something more haunting; a noir where obsession lingers in empty rooms, and the line between memory and desire starts to blur.

This time we’re screening Laura.

A detective falls in love with a woman he’s never met.
A portrait hangs on the wall.
A life is reconstructed through other people’s stories; each version a little less trustworthy than the last.

This is noir at its most elegant.

And as it unfolds, it begins to ask a dangerous question:
what does it mean to fall in love with an idea of someone?
