The Ox-Bow Incident at The Ill Repute
See event details

A event held at The Ill Repute on Sunday 26th April. The event starts at 19:00.

In our final instalment of A Fistful of Film, we present the Ox-Bow Incident (1943). Set in 1885 Gil (Henry Fonda) and Art (Harry Morgan) ride into the town of Bridgers’ Wells. News breaks out that a local rancher has been murdered and his cattle stolen.

This leads to an angry posse to form and ride out with vengeance to find the culprits. Without any thoughts they decide to act on their own accord away from any Sheriff. This leads them to a group of three who are in possession of the cattle and the rest unfolds.

This grim classic will end our season of Westerns (we will return) so make sure not to miss out. Keep an eye for two weeks time as we venture into the world of Giallo’s.
