JOHN WATERS PARTY - THURSDAY 18TH JUNE

To celebrate THREE YEARS of Be Kind Rewind Bristol, we’re ending the night exactly how we should: with a gloriously trashy John Waters-themed party at the bar at The Ill Repute following our screening of Pink Flamingos in the downstairs cinema room.

From 9:30pm onwards, the upstairs bar becomes a full tribute to the filthiest corner of underground cinema; inspired by the worlds of John Waters, Divine, the Dreamlanders, and every beautiful weirdo who ever made bad taste into an art form.

Expect trash classics all night long, camp chaos, sleaze, cheap glamour, filthy aesthetics, and the kind of atmosphere that probably would’ve gotten you banned from respectable society in 1972.

Dress up is heavily encouraged. Think leopard print, leather jackets, smeared eyeliner, pencil moustaches, giant wigs, thrift-store decadence, cigarette-stained glamour, and anything that looks vaguely illegal in suburban America.

Whether you’re joining us after the film or just coming down for the party itself, this is our love letter to three years of cult cinema, strange community, and everyone who’s packed themselves into a pub basement with us every other Thursday.
