Plan 9 From Outer Space at The Ill Repute
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Free entry! The original cult B movie train wreck - Plan 9 is so full of schlocky FX and strange decisions it’s laugh-out-loud hilarious. Bela Lugosi leads a cast of existentially confused Martian vampires in this flawed/flawless sci-fi horror comedy, later immortalised in Tim Burton’s Ed Wood biopic. "

Calling all lovers of the weird, the wonderful, and the outright ridiculous…

Join us for a screening of Plan 9 From Outer Space, Ed Wood’s infamous 1959 cult classic that’s earned its place in cinematic history as “the worst film ever made” — and one of the most entertaining.

Expect flying saucers on strings, cardboard tombstones, confused aliens, and a barely-present Bela Lugosi (whose scenes were completed using a stand-in holding a cape over his face). What it lacks in polish, it more than makes up for in charm, enthusiasm, and sheer cinematic chaos.

Whether you’re a B-movie connoisseur or a first-time viewer, this is a rare chance to experience Plan 9 in all its low-budget, high-camp glory — the way it was meant to be seen: on a big screen, in a dark room, with a drink in your hand and the comforting hum of a projector nearby.

As always, the bar will be open all night serving cold beers, cocktails, mezcal, and soft drinks, and you can grab tacos upstairs before the film.

No tickets, no fuss. Just rock up, grab a seat, and prepare for the shocking facts of Plan 9!
