A event held at The Ill Repute on Thursday 7th November. The event starts at 20:00.

Be Kind Rewind Bristol Cinema Club is proud to present Gregg Arakis's 90's queer classic NOWHERE (1997) screening downstairs at the Ill Repute.

The third and final film in Araki's Apocalypse Trilogy, Nowhere is known for its surreal and darkly comedic portrayal of contemporary youth culture. The film follows a diverse group of teenagers living in Los Angeles as they navigate love, lust, and existential angst over the course of a day.

The protagonist of the film is Dark Smith (portrayed by James Duval) a young man who is struggling to find his place in the world and make sense of his turbulent emotions. Dark is involved in a complicated love triangle with his girlfriend Mel and his best friend Montgomery.

As the narrative unfolds, the film delves into the lives of various other characters, each grappling with their own personal demons and desires. These characters include Lucifer, Kriss, and a group of alien invaders.

Araki employs his signature visual style, characterised by bold colours, rapid editing, and dreamlike sequences, to create a world that is both fantastical and disorienting.

The film starts at 8 PM. Please make sure to get down early to guarantee yourself a good seat.
