MO’ HORIZONS Bio & Discography:

Mo'Horizons consists of producers and DJs Ralf Droesemeyer and Mark 'Foh' Wetzler, both hailing from Hannover/Germany, now known as 'Bosshanover' because of Mo'Horizons. Ralf is well renowned for his past work, which amongst others include Cunnie Williams and Randy Crawford. The other half of this dynamic duo is the record collector & PC-musician Mark 'Foh' Wetzler.

In the course of their collaboration as DJs, they came up with the idea of producing together themselves, what they were successfully spinning.

The idea of Mo'Horizons was born.

The first 2 singles to be released in 1999 were 'YES BABY YES' and 'FOTO VIVA', both instant nu'club classics by now.

Their first album 'COME TOUCH THE SUN’' saw the light of day the same year and set itself as an innovative standard for clubs, radios and DJs alike.

The album created styles, set moods and broke boundaries and tore down all musical barricades - the floodgates had been opened.

The second album 'REMEMBER TOMORROW’' dawned on the world in 2001, pushing the boundaries further and still holding to their musical horizons. With a fusion of Brazil, Latin, Jazz, Afro, Funk and Soul, integrated with sounds from the 60's to the 90's and the participation of live-musicans from a wide ranging of multicultural origin, 'Remember Tomorrow' was the perfect follow up.

Within a short time Mo'Horizons had shot into the modern dance & listening music scene and while the guys were touring around the world, listeners and audiences across the globe were touched by the 'Bosshanover' sun.

2002 saw Mo'Horizons appearing for the first time as a full live-band, touring around the world in Europe, South America, Africa and Australia... all the time collecting new sounds and new ideas.

'AND THE NEW BOHEMIAN FREEDOM’' their 3rd album was released in 2003.

Mo'Horizons were breaking further new ground, pushing the boundaries even further in the name of musical and artistic freedom.

The first single 'GONNA BE’' also hails first Mo`Horizons video. New styles, new sounds, new feelings - the new bohemian freedom is kind of being part of the Mo'Horizons.

By that time the songs of Mo'Horizons were appearing on more than 500 compilations worldwide, innovative radio stations played every one of their tracks and their diverse repertoire of sounds were used for background music in movies, series and TV documentaries. These are the facts why many people don't know that they already know the music of Mo'Horizons ;-)

2005 Mo'Horizons released their first long awaited compilation 'SOME MORE HORIZONS’' featuring unknown tracks by well known artists and well known songs by unknown artists from the 50's to the 70's, mixed with some exlusive music of their own.

2006 they released 'STEREODELUXE 150'. A compilation mixed & re-edited by Mo'Horizons, what has been their last work on their good ol' label Stereo Deluxe.

After leaving Stereo Deluxe they founded their own label Agogo Records and in 2007 it was time for 'SUNSHINE TODAY’', their 6th album.

Soul Sugar, Latin Fruits, Jazzy Juice and Shakin’ Clubbeats are the ingredients of this self-titled 'Groove Cocktail', a brilliant mixture of songs with jazzy attitude.

5 Singers and 10 musicians from 7 different nations (Venezuela, Brazil, Chile, Senegal, Italy, Belgium, Germany) were part of this soulful piece of music.

The positive energy of the sun was always inspiration for the music of Ralf Droesemeyer and Mark 'Foh' Wetzler.

2009 has been the 10th anniversary of Mo'Horizons and they released the album 'TEN YEARS OF MO’HORIZONS’' A collection of their best songs with a whole bunch of previously unreleased remixes.

In those years musical styles have come and gone, but after 7 albums and several underground hits, Mo'Horizons still sound as fresh and life affirming as they did a decade ago. The boys certainly haven't forgotten to remember tomorrow! ´

In 2011 the long time successful Mo'Horizons Soundsystem, their flexible and alternativ way of mixing DJ-Sets and musical live performance, got its own name with the 8th album 'MO'HORIZONS AND THE BANANA SOUNDSYSTEM’'.

"We were touring to such an extent that we were nearly going bananas..." (Mo' Horizons creative mastermind Ralf Droesemeyer recollects the last years.)

Anyway in the following years the Banana Soundsystem train went on around the world, leaving listeners and audiences across the globe touched by the sun and the sound of Mo'Horizons and so it took another 4 years until the following remix album 'THE BANANA REMIXES’'.

In this big package of great new remixes of Mo’Horizons songs and some of their own best reworks over the last years, this ultimate celebration of coops and swaps, Ralf Droesemeyer proofed again his versatility to produce high quality music for the advanced dance floor and the eclectic radio stations around the world.

2019 - 'MUSIC SUN LOVE’

In the 20th year of their existence, there couldn't be a better title for their 10th album.

Music, sun and love has always been the inspirations of Mo'Horizons.

With the support and collaboration of singers and musicians from 10 countries from 4 continents Mo'Horizons created another musical contribution to international understanding.

After the successful start of the Music Sun Love Tour in the Dryft Festival in the Phillippines in february 2020 unfortunately Mo'Horizons had to stop their performances because of the global crises.

During this sad times Mo'Horizons released a couple of digital singles in cooperation with international projects... ...to feed their worldwide community of fans in streaming portals, especially in Bandcamp and Spotify, where they reached meanwhile the 700.000 monthly listeners!

With the release of the single 'HUELE QUE HUELE’' featuring Ivan Camelo, their Colombian singer living in Spain, the promotion for the next Mo'Horizons longplayer, their 11th album, started in june 2022.

"If it actually sounds traditional but you gotta move your ass, then for sure it's Cumbia" (Ralf Droesemeyer) 'Mango' The release will be in autumn 2023.

The 7inch single 'Mango woman' featuring Blay Ambolley from Ghana, with a 7inch Mix & a remix of Sono Rhizmo' will be out in summer 2023. With this Mo'Horizons first time afro beat they are continuing to push the boundaries of musical horizons.

...and of course Mo'Horizons are touring again wherever the sun is calling them.

After playing the Earth Beat Festival in New Zealand in april 2023 they are ready to dj and to perform the Soundsystem in your chiringuito, your club and your festival. Soulong and see you soon !
