2016 was not the year of the Fire Monkey. 2017 is not the year of the Red Fire Chicken. This is the time of the Snake.

Mansion of Snakes is a 12 piece behemoth playing earth-shaking afrobeat, devil-funk and cosmic jazz. Fronted by blazing horns and backed by pounding percussion and bass, the band fuses the influences of Nigerian afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti with Pharoah Sanders, Funkadelic and a punk energy.

After melting audiences at venues and festivals across the country, the Leeds afrobeat/comsic jazz warriors have now released their eponymous EP into the wild. Recorded live and hot to tape, this is the one way to feel the power without feeling the sweat.
