THE CAUSE
Earlier this year we held another Ashanti Beats Fundraiser which raised £1100 for Blessed Mount Mary’s school in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. This money has been used for our project of building a new toilet and shower block to replace the unsanitary pit toilets. The toilets are now almost finished but we need to now fundraise the money to drill a borehole at the school which we will be able to source water from.
We are holding this event to fundraise for two key projects.
1. Drill a borehole to source clean water for the new toilet block and also to use for drinking and washing. Currently all water for cooking and drinking has to be brought in buckets every day from the nearby village.
2. Sponsorship programme - it costs £30 a year for a child to attend the school but many families struggle to pay this fee meaning their Childs education can suffer. We fundraise to pay the fees of these children.
All profits from this event are going directly to Blessed Mount Mary’s school and will directly benefit the children there through these key projects.
If you are unable to attend the event but would still like to show your support for the cause through a donation or sponsoring one of the children for a years eduction (£30) then please follow the link below and donate!
