Artist Info
CAPTAIN PLANET
Fueled by an early love of Hip-Hop music, Charlie B. Wilder (the man behind Captain Planet) began DJ-ing and making beats on a Tascam cassette 4-track in his teens. He soon developed an obsession with vinyl records and digging for samples which led to an expanded appreciation of Reggae, Latin and African music as well as a curiosity for other traditional styles from around the world. Wilder began flipping these “World” records the way Hip-Hop producers traditionally sample soul and funk. These international sounds became the ingredients
he used in concocting his trademark “Gumbo Funk” style.

AFRO CLUSTER
Afro Cluster is a Cardiff-born collective inspired by the legacy of West-African funk/Afrobeat and golden age Hip-Hop.
The creative ethos behind their work is to instigate love and hope in an increasingly hostile world.
Across their catalogue you will hear strong rhythms and jazzy refrains emboldened by motivational lyrics penned and delivered by emcee Skunkadelic.
“They’re excellent proof that the best music exists between and beyond genre
boundaries and national borders, and are reputed as being one of the finest live bands in
Wales.” - BBC Horizons

QUEEN BEE
Since the late 80’s Queen Bee has been an integral part of the Bristol massive scene. With a genre jumping range from reggae, afro beat and House to Drum & Bass and Dancehall Queen Bee has been smashing it up long time at the seasons biggest festivals including Shambala, Shin Dig, Mucky Weekender, Womad &Glastonbury.
Queen Bee has been holding her own and carving it up with her old skool vinyl mash up for decades and while her sound has developed, she remains true to her funk and reggae roots. You can expect to lose yourself with this genre hopping Queen in a wonderland of grooves as you get on down and boogie with her amazing beats.

RU ROBINSON
Ru Robinson is known for exciting and eclectic DJ sets served up with an infectious smile. His broad collection of music is lovingly selected for the dance floor, spanning the diverse tropical influences of Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean, whilst dipping and delving into countless other party sounds.
