JAMU is a fresh musical collective orchestrated by the turntablist Mr Fitz delivering a bold, big sound that’s impossible to ignore. They made their mark on the festival scene, playing chai wallahs at a number of high-energy events and quickly becoming a crowd favourite with their unique blend of bass-heavy beats and genre-mashing steeze.
JAMU live show collectively brings some of the most unique voices and sounds from the Bristol network of artists. Their live shows are a wild fusion of genre-bending beats, raw lyricism, and explosive stage presence. Featuring the eclectic wordplay of MĀDŁY, Mr Bon Suis, MC Binbags, Dur Brain, the Speaka da Devil, and the brassy blast of The Horn Dogs, JAMU creates a one-of-a-kind live experience. Expect heavy rhythms, improvisation, and a wall of sound that pulls the crowd straight into the madness.
Their debut album, Hear The Sound, launched to sold out crowds in Bristol and London and dropped to critical acclaim and featured an impressive lineup of MCs, including Dr Syntax, Killa P, Binbag Wisdom, and Blackout JA. Building on that success, JAMU's next album is already in the works, and they’re gearing up for an even stronger festival season. With their raw energy and fearless approach to music, JAMU is set to Turn up and bring the Sound.
