Worm Gigs:Meridian Brothers + Conjunto Media Luna at The Jam Jar
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Freaky experimental electro-cumbia grooves from Colombia’s crazed Meridian Brothers (they’re not even brothers…). Melding a space age retro-future with Colombia’s rich past of vallenato, merengue and champeta folk musics; Meridian feels like the Residents taking acid with La Sonora Dinamita in the ISS cantina."

Hands up who remembers the last time we hosted Meridian Brothers at The Attic, Back in the hazy days of 2017....?!

Colombia’s infamous psychedelic “neo-tropicalistas” are back in Bristol! And we’re hosting two shows with them, one evening performance for 18+ and also an afternoon performance where you are welcome to bring your small humans to come and get some real LATIN musical education! Tell a friend to tell a friend!

Meridian Brothers are a contemporary Latin act melding historic and modern experimental Latin rhythms and genres. Composer/multi-instrumentalist Eblis Álvarez writes, plays, arranges, and records Meridian Brothers’ albums solo, and performs live with a band. The irreverent music melds electronic and organic instrumentation, South American, Caribbean, and Mexican rhythms and folk traditions.

Support comes from Conjuto Media Luna and worm DJs.

PLEASE NOTE - The Friday night show is an 18+ event, the Saturday afternoon performance is open to all ages as long as u18s are accompanied by an adult!
Children under 3 are free!
