A gig held at The Jam Jar on Friday 29th January. The event starts at 20:15.
Brama is a psychedelic force from central France, blending the unique drone of the hurdy-gurdy with sharp cut guitar riffs, vocal harmony, driving basslines and energetic drums.
Experimental and free as the air, the band throws itself wholeheartedly into a radiant, sun-soaked folklore where people dance with force and abandon, redrawing the contours of stormy poetry: a crackling, polyphonic DIY sound driven by krautrock rhythms and a gentle haze.
Always spellbinding, Brama invites you into a ceremony somewhere between a tarantella and a psychedelic rock’n’roll mass. The hurdy-gurdy becomes a liturgical organ, the guitar and bass the subject of an exorcism, and the shamanic voice, master of the ritual.
