Earthly Measure presents a night of Latin electronica & psychedelic grooves at The Jam Jar!

The London based DJ crew, club night and label (who have released music from the likes of El Búho and many more) welcome exciting Chilean DJ and producer DJ RAFF who crafts lysergic, low-slung dance music, lacing together samples from across the Afro-Latin diaspora. They also invite DJ, multi instrumentalist, band leader and Worldwide FM resident AUKA, as well as Santiago Córdoba for a special live set to complete the night.

DJ RAFF
London-based Chilean DJ and producer DJ Raff crafts lysergic, low-slung dance music, lacing together samples from across the Afro-Latin diaspora into a heady mix of percussive patterns and hypnotic melodies. With support from Gilles Peterson and Tom Ravenscroft among others, DJ Raff has established himself as one of the most prolific producers on the scene. He describes himself as a relator - or sonic storyteller - speaking in a “musical language” of kaleidoscopic rhythms and atmospheric instrumental moods that draw on myriad influences from the Andean regions of Chile, Peru, Bolivia and beyond.

AUKA
AUKA is the DJ alias of Viva Msimang; trombonist, vocalist, Worldwide FM resident and founder of Colectiva, a nine-piece ensemble exploring the spaces between Afro-Latin music and jazz while reflecting on themes of sisterhood and female empowerment. With a sound rooted in the music of Africa, Latin America and the diaspora, AUKA’s DJ sets explore folkloric electronic music and beyond.

Born in the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, Santiago Cordoba has embarked on an extraordinary journey of musical and spiritual discovery. Drawing from his deep well of creativity, he has crafted a unique and spellbinding sound that transcends boundaries and defies categorization. With an unwavering focus on the boundless voyage of musical expression, Santiago Cordoba has seamlessly blended elements of propellant psychedelic rock rhythms, the soulful melodies of Argentine folk music, and intricate electronic textures.

As Santiago Cordoba's music unfolds, it weaves a tapestry of legitimacy across landscapes that seem to expand infinitely. The result is a symphony of hypnotic mantras, rich in sonority and rhythm, which guide the audience through a continuous cycle of discovery and rediscovery. His compositions invite you to dive deep into your own inner world while simultaneously connecting with the collective energy of the crowd.
