Bristol-based UK hip hop legend Dr Syntax brings his full live show to the Jam Jar, showcasing new material as well as reworked classics from his extensive back catologue.

The veteran MC, previously known for performing with the likes of The Mouse Outfit, Foreign Beggars and Pete Cannon, has a new band featuring MC Binbags, Dur Brain (Binbag Wisdom) and Harry Stoneham (Waldo's Gift) on lead guitar, drums and bass respectively.

The result is a powerful and engaging show full of Syntax's trademark humour, social commentary and wordplay, while the band brings a raucous energy that has captivated audiences across the country, including well-received sets at Boomtown Fair and Shambala festival.

Having performed and released music for twenty years, Dr Syntax is a renowned and unique figure within UK hip hop, best known for comedic, tongue-in-cheek songs such as 'My House', 'Cats and Dogs' and 'Middle Class Problems'.

His most recent album, 'Crumbs', with producer Tom Caruana, fuses hip hop, funk and rock elements to great effect, memorably exemplified by lead single 'Get Your Dad Off The Internet', a sardonic swipe at tedious internet trolls.

With new material in the works and recent cross-genre collaborations with The Alllergies and Octo Pi proving his versatility, Dr Syntax is as prolific as ever, and with backing from three luminaries of the current Bristolian live music scene, this is a show you won't want to miss.

Very special support is to be announced, as well as sets from two of Bristol's finest DJs, Mr Fitz (Cuttin' It Fine) and Dutchie (Hold Tight).
