Bal Folk Brunch - music & dancing at The Jam Jar

A event held at The Jam Jar on Saturday 1st June. The event starts at 11:00.


Approximate timings:
11:00 - Set up & session. Show up early to help put out chairs, sweep the floor, and get the music started.
12:30 - Dance workshop
13:30 - Open performance slots
15:30 - Wind up & set down

This is a community event. Please bring your instruments and dance shoes and get stuck in.

Bring & share brunch/ lunch. Please bring food to share. There will be a bar available to buy tea, coffee, beer, cider, etc.

This is not a ticketed event. We will be collecting donations on the day to cover venue costs (£100) and fundraise for future Bristol bals. Please donate what you feel and what you can afford. We can accept donations via cash or PayPal.

Children are very welcome, and are the responsibility of their parents.

Performance slots are available! Please get in touch if you have some tunes you've been practising that you would like to try out on some dancers, and we'll add you to the list ([email protected]).


Accessibility: the venue is on the first floor, up a flight of stairs. You can find more detailed information at www.thejamjarbristol.com/accessibility.

Transport:
Free parking is available directly opposite the venue all day Saturday. There are pay and display spaces on Little Ann Street directly in front of the venue. The venue is also situated 200m from Cabot Circus Car Park which has accessible spaces and an accessible toilet.
The Jam Jar is 1 mile from Bristol Temple Meads train station. Nearest bus stops are 'Lamb Street' (200m) and 'West Street' (400m).
