A member of the DAYTIMERS collective, Somatic has been immersed in late-night dance culture from the very start. As a trained percussionist, his sound is led by rhyhtm and the visceral feel of bass as it washes over the body. A cross-pollination of styles is obligatory: Afrobeat blends with breaks, reggaeton refixes of souk bangers, dabke gets mashed-up with garage, Bollywood and bassline fuse, jungle and baile funk crossovers collide.
