A
gig
held at The Jam Jar
on Saturday 28th October. The event starts at 20:00.
At long last... The Jam Is back, and we’re ecstatic to host this event as it is meant to be - Inclusive, Improvised & In the round.
This is The Jam Jars signature Jam night, a meeting place for the musicians of Bristol, & a place for spectators to revel in the late night jams that have brought together numerous brilliant homegrown projects.
This Jam is being supported by Arts Council England and is going to be bigger and better than ever. With a focus on diversity and inclusivity, we encourage people of all ethnicities, backgrounds, and genders to join us to Jam!
Over the next 2 events, we'll be seriously levelling up the venue's lighting install and backline.
Now is the time to turn to our friends, guests, and musicians alike, to take to the floor and continue the magic in a display of collaboration, talent & righteous celebration that is - The Door Is Ajar

As you will all know, the Jam Jar is a grassroots venue, built on the desire to deliver the best music from around the world, as well as providing a safe inclusive space for all to experience these shows, be part of our Jam nights, revel in creativity and share joy⚡️
We care about making the Jam Jar a place where people of all backgrounds can feel welcome and supported in a space where they feel their creativity is able to shine.
We know that Jam events are so often the catalyst for grassroots music - creating improvised performance with a bunch of musicians you have often only just met is such beautiful creative moment which can lead to so much more. This should be something that feels out of reach for people based on financial and social barriers.
And so… We are EXTREMELY happy to announce that we have been successful in our application for Art Council funding so that we can continue to deliver our monthly inclusive Jam nights.
We can now purchase much needed backline equipment making it more possible for musicians to be able to just turn up and play.
A huge part of our ethos is sustainability and we can now replace our lighting rig with a new set up saving over 100 tons of C02 over the course of their lifetime
This grant is a real game changer
We are so glad that we can continue this night of creative exchange, facilitating the ball of musical energy that grows every month at The Jam Jar
