La Bomba contiues their series of inviting some of the worlds top crate diggers and DJs from around the world and this month are joined by NTS Radio superstar Cami Layé Okún!

Cami Layé Okún is a Cuban DJ, selector, and radio host. A truly special artist, who has performed on some of the finest stages around the world.

She finds her most intimate expressions on the dancefloor and through the airwaves hosting INSOLAR, her monthly radio show on NTS. This narrative-driven approach, a deeply personal form of sonic storytelling, shapes her work. Musically adept and with an innate intuition for making people move, Cami always sets the tone, whether she’s controlling a peak-time headline club situation, taking the crowd on a journey via one of her special extended sets, or delivering one of her festival performances, which never fail to stand out amongst even the largest of line-ups. Her focus lies less on pleasing and more on sharing an ongoing love for a musical journey.

This journey is fuelled by a relentless search as a digger and ethnomusicologist, unearthing organic rhythms from across the world. Performing exclusively on vinyl, her sonic adventure traverses textures and eras, weaving a wide tapestry that draws from Cuban disco, forward-thinking Latin electronics, Caribbean oddities, Tropical Amazonian rhythms, and global grooves. These adventurous, and often rare, selections are why she has become one of the most sought-after selectors.

Looking ahead, Cami is now expanding 'INSOLAR' into a record label and is currently working on its first release, while continuing to bring her spellbinding DJ sets to some of the most revered venues and festivals in the world.
