Abram Diallo trained in traditional Guinean dance under Karim Keita with Ballet Fareta in Guinea-Conakry, starting his training when he was just 7 years old, and continuing to become Fareta's main choreographer. He's a patient teacher with incredible style & technique; he'll make us look & feel good if we're beginners, and he'll inspire and challenge those who come with experience.
Seneke Sillah, from the Gambia, learned from an early age to play mbalax, the traditional music of the Wolof people of the Gambia & Senegal, and later was mentored in the djembe tradition by Thomas Camara from Guinea. He performs in the UK with bands including Bakk Lamp Fall, Koroleko and with kora master Jali Bakary Konteh. Seneke was one of my first teachers when I started playing djembe in Camden years ago; I think you'll like his flavour !
Both workshops are suitable for all levels of experience
