Club Débris + Swamp Puppies at The Jam Jar

A gig held at The Jam Jar on Sunday 12th October. The event starts at 19:30.

Club Débris are a Quebec-inspired folk band based in London, playing high-energy French-Canadian trad music in brazenly major keys. Québécois folk music is the result of many centuries of mixed influences between French, English, Scottish and Irish dance music, and is accompanied by driving, galloping foot percussion rhythms. Having thoroughly enjoyed their previous trips to Bristol, Club Débris are back in town again this year, bringing their trademark no-nonsense tunes with a pro-nonsense attitude.

The band is formed of Will Allen (accordion/fiddle), Maisie Greenwood (fiddle), Duncan Menzies (fiddle/banjo), Will Chamberlain (piano) and Jessie Collins (percussive dance)

+ Support from Swamp Puppies:
Serving up Country Rock ‘n’ Roll just as delectable as a hot bowl of Jambalaya, Bristol’s own Swamp Puppies are sure to get your hips shakin' and your toes a tappin’.
Bassist and frontwoman Sadie Morningstar spins tales of red beans, romance and rodents from her life in Louisiana, Alabama and Kansas, while Mr. Joe Trudgeon delights with guitar licks as hot as pepper sauce and Professor Paul Archibald performs a ritual of mad science and voodoo on the drums.
Heartfelt tunes that are good for ya body and soul!
