Full Story for the show:
Since meeting at Goulash Disko festival on the sunny, hedonistic shores of Vis Island in Croatia many moons ago - Mr Tea and the Minions and Buffo’s Wake became instantly bonded, and united together in their quests to become a brutal force in the party band festival scene! They collectively forced countless humans to wildly dance with knees higher than previously thought possible, engulfing them with endorphins and merriment.
However….in 2020 a new force emerged. The evil Covid-monster gradually spread it’s power across the world. In the UK, Sleazy Boris, backed by his Tory goblins, took the opportunity he’d long been searching for to attempt to destroy the festival scene and offer them no hope of return. He would drive a wedge through strong bonds such as those previously held by Buffo’s Wake and Mr Tea and the Minions, and the 2 bands have since become bitter enemies, full of poison bestowed on them by Sleazy Boris and his Tory goblins. Lacking the superpowers they used to attain from constantly allowing large crowds to go completely wild, there was only one possible outcome…..Battle.
Thursday 15th July is judgement day. The battlefield is the Jam Jar in the old city of Bristol. Will the bands fight to the death? Or will they resurrect their powers and unite once again to get peoples knees higher than ever, and fight the evil Covid Monster, Sleazy Boris and his Tory goblins with the mighty power of fun? There’s only one way to find out…Be there and bare witness.
As well as this double headliner battle there will also be:
- Support from Razzomo
- DJ’s including DJ Yodelling Sheep and DJ Wedding Fight
- Audience Interactive Tune Wars: Mr Tea and the Minions Vs Buffo’s Wake
